As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this nice quality Meiji period 1868-1912 , circa 1900 silver vase, artist signed Kobayashi Kako for the Hattori company, the vase is finely detailed in Katakiribori carving ( a technique using an angled chisel to emulate brushstrokes) the decoration depicts a bird amidst branches of chrysanthemums and other flora, the side of the vase has been signed “Kako sen” and the underside of the vase stamped “Jungin Hattori” ( Real Silver made by Hattori Company ) a nice little addition to your Japanese collection or a perfect gift for a loved one .
