As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large highly decorative Meiji period 1868-1912 wall panel, the iron panel housed in its original hardwood frame captures the moment a giant carp leaps from the water to catch a fly above, the artist has cleverly carved the explosion of water from this huge great fish, the carp rendered as a bronze okimono with gilt and shakudo eyes,  the iron panel further decorated with mixed metal reeds and flora amidst tree stumps on a lakeside setting, the panel housed in an oriental hardwood frame and bearing gilt signature seals to the lower corner , this very heavy wall panel is prepared ready to hang as a main feature in a room of your choice , or to add to your Japanese works of art collection .
