As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this unusual Edo period (1615-1868) Gold lacquer Netsuke, circa 1820 , the carved wooden Netsuke is finely detailed and then lacquered predominately in Gold, it depicts a character known as Shojo , the Shojo is carrying a ladle over her shoulder, her long flowing hair lacquered in red ,with the face exquisitely carved from Coral , a highly unusual mixed media Netsuke from the early 19th century, a great addition to your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection.
